How to setup Windows 11 out of the box

Please note that the some versions of Windows may start at Step 7.

Important: Windows downloads and installs the latest updates during setup. Please perform the setup on a fast internet connection where it won’t be interrupted.

1. Take the device out of the packaging and turn the device on

2. Connect to the internet using Wireless or an Ethernet cable (preferable) when prompted

3. When prompted click “Set up for work or school”

4. Click ‘Sign In’

5. Login with your work email and follow the onscreen prompts.

Don’t have a work email?

Please follow the instructions below:

1. At the sign in screen disconnect from the network, then press the Shift and F10 keys

This window should appear:

2. In this box type “oobe\bypassnro” and press enter.

Your device should restart automatically.

3. Select English and click yes

4. Please wait for Windows to install updates. Do not restart or turn off your device!

5. When asked to name your device, select “Skip for now”

6. Select “Set up for work or school”

7. Click ‘sign-in options‘

8. Select “Domain Join instead”

9. Use the username ‘impact‘ and select next

10. Create a password. Please don’t forget this password!

11. Select ‘No‘ and click ‘accept‘, then ‘only required information gathering‘ and click ‘accept‘

12. Skip the preferences by clicking next

13. Wait for any final updates to be installed, do not restart or turn off your device. This could take a while depending on your internet speed.
