Hear How Our People-Centered Approach is Driving Growth and Exceeding Your Expectations

Impact Computing Awards

Like a lot of SMEs, we’ve come a long way over the past couple of years.

Back in 2019, we recognised the need to take the next step in developing the company by emphasising our people. We knew if we got that right, we’d be closer in our quest to be the best IT managed service provider in the North West.

Following our recent Company Awards Evening which took place on Thursday 21st October, we wanted to involve you in our celebrations and share the accomplishments of what we’ve achieved for our customers and as a business both on a team and individual level.

This article is more than just a standard roll call of names and accolades; it’s about sharing our vision and how what we’re developing can support customers like you who need bespoke IT support and solutions.

You need an IT support provider that is customer-focused, proactive and always there when you need them.

We’ve seen some fantastic examples of this happening.

Our new Thrive solution was developed by listening to our existing customers’ needs and understanding the current market. Integral to this development was Gavin Stone hence why he was presented with our Innovation Award.

“Winning the innovation award and being recognised for my work on our new Thrive solution means a lot. It’s been a fantastic journey, taking it from an idea to seeing it being rolled out and making an impact for our clients. I’m really excited for the future of Thrive and seeing the product support more businesses as a complete IT solution in 2022.”

– Gavin Stone

Our Key Player Awards recognise team members who perform consistently well. This quarter we wanted to showcase:

Paul Fretwell – for being a lean, mean ticketing machine with a relentless work rate and over 520 pieces of positive feedback from happy customers.

Will Hartley - for providing a tremendous amount of support to the senior management team as a whole and specific product development together with sales.

Sean Murphy - for being a great leader to the installations team and wanting to be the best he can be for our clients.

Wayne Dalton – for being a fantastic tech enabler, always being there to advise and help others in their achievements.

You need IT support staff who are knowledgeable, committed, hungry to learn from their peers and achieve more.

With our people being at the heart of everything we do, we felt it was essential to highlight staff supporting those who are new to the business. Fox has stepped into this role and has gone out of his way to provide consistent advice and guidance.

“I was delighted to receive the Mentorship Award and be recognised for how I’ve supported our new recruits. Helping them develop is an integral part of staff growth, and I’m excited to see them progress.

– Fox Redman

Impact Computing Team

There were many other team members that we wanted to applaud as part of the evening. They have really delivered this year to exceed your customer service expectations:

Consistently improving and adapting to their roles – Simon Slupczewski & Chloe Eyre

For his consistent development in leading the support team and always pushing others to be their best – Lewis Cowley

Always embodying our core values and an excellent all-rounder – Ash Farr

An outstanding performer in terms of progress and being a positive influence on the whole team – Liam Walsh

5 years of excellent service, learning and customer commitment – Tom Russan

“It’s been amazing to work for Impact Computing for five years and be congratulated for my length of service. I’ve been lucky enough to grow with the company and see its vision come to life. The consistent support and focus on staff development make it easy to go to work, and I know I am a valued team member. I’m looking forward to another five years and continuing to offer our clients the best IT support service they can get in the North West.”

– Tom Russan

You know, a happy workforce = more productive staff. Staff wellbeing is very important to us as an organisation. We care about our team, they’re crucial to our business and we value and appreciate them. Our team support us in achieving our goals and we support them in achieving theirs. Impact Computing is a genuinely nice place to work.

“It’s nice to work for an employer who cares about your wellbeing and that they want you to be happy in your work. Small gestures such as providing quality coffee and buffet lunches do make a big difference. I also think the way we regularly get together and celebrate our achievements, whether they are big or small, boosts morale massively too.”

– Chloe Eyre

You want to know we’re committed to doing the right thing and supporting local community causes in and around the North West.

Through the company’s growth, we’ve also been able to support more local North West charities and get involved in local community sponsorship programmes.

“Every team member has played an essential role in making our vision a reality and I look forward to applauding others at our 2022 awards ceremony. I’m excited to watch all our employees’ progress through the people-centred organisation that we’ve created to provide proactive and bespoke IT support for our customers.”

– Adam, Managing Director
