How to clear browsing data in Chrome

This guide will tell you how to clear your Internet browser's cache. This can help when troubleshooting issues connecting to websites. This will not clear your Internet history.


1. Open the Chrome menu

Click the 3 dots next to the address bar in the top right of your Chrome browser window and  select Settings from the menu.



2. Open advanced settings

Scroll down the settings menu to the bottom and  click the link for 'Show advanced settings...'



3. Open the Clear browsing data menu

Click the Clear browsing data... button under Privacy.



4. Select data to clear

Choose the amount of data you would like to delete -  Select 'the beginning of time' to delete everything.  Tick checkboxes for 'Cookies and other site and plug-in data' and 'Cached images and files'.




5. Delete the data

Click 'Clear browsing data'. The menu will close and return you to the advanced settings menu.  Close this tab at the top of the browser window.
